An Oliver Street apartment complex won a tax appeal judgment of almost 10 percent off its property tax bills for 2014 and 2015.
City Council approved the judgment (AR-241-15) of $2,379 at its Nov. 9 regular meeting.
The two-story building at 2025 Oliver St. (Block 221, Lot 1) is assessed for $189,000, and paid $11,725 in property taxes last year and $11,939 for 2015. It will get a refund of $1,178.76 (about 10 percent) for 2014 and $1,200.23 for a total $2,378.99 over two years.
Built in 1962, the apartment complex at the corner of West Scott Avenue last changed hands in 1998 for $340,000, according to property records, and is owned by an entity named Realm Ventures and managed by Spartan Management.
