And boy does this week’s weather show it! Take some time to cool off with one of the featured adult beverages in our July reader poll, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com (the Rahway Special Improvement District):
That’s quite a diverse group to choose from among this month’s options, running the gamut from old reliable beers of a few varieties and frozen margaritas to homemade sangria and assorted concoctions that can cool you off – just have a look at these beauties:
Last year, it was a simple pint of Guinness at Firehouse Eatery & Pub on St. Georges Avenue that took home the top prize. I usually consider the classic Irish dry stout to be a winter beverage but to each their own, amirite? That didn’t stop it from garnering a whopping 61% of the 240 votes cast in last year’s poll, far ahead of the rest of the field.
As always, polls are completely unscientific and you only have one vote per IP address. Poll results will be published by the end of July. In the meantime, that’ll give you plenty of time to visit each outpost and taste test all of the featured drinks before the polls close. Perhaps you can use the June poll results to be your guide along at least some of the way.
