The weather has warmed up – enough but not too much – to enjoy a snack or a meal outdoors, whether on a patio or a sidewalk cafe. So, here’s the monthly reader poll for June, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com, the Rahway Special Improvement District (SID):

There’s quite the variety of choices for you in this poll. You’ve got your usual bars and restaurants but you’ve also you’ve got your BYO options as well as coffee shops and pizza joints.

Last year’s champion, Cubanu, was crowned amid nearly 600 votes cast, outpacing La Chula ahead of the rest of the field. The newcomer in this year’s race is R&J Pizzeria, which recently opened at the corner of Madison Hill Road and Westfield Avenue, taking over a space that’s been occupied by previous pizzerias, including Buona, Gio’s, and My Lil’ John, among others.

As always, the poll is completely unscientific and will be up for the month of June although remember that votes are limited to one per IP address. Final results will be posted before the end of the month, just in time for the July 4th holiday.
