Rahway has plenty to choose from when it comes to pizza.

The September reader poll, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com, the Rahway Special Improvement District (SID):

What’s your favorite pizza in Rahway?

  1. Plum Tomato — 41% (41/100)
  2. Nancy’s Towne House — 24% (24/100)
  3. Il Forno a Legna — 16% (16/100)
  4. Michelino’s — 10% (10/100)
  5. R&J Pizzeria — 4% (4/100)
  6. Tony’s Pizza Cafe — 3% (3/100)
  7. Jersey Boys Kitchen — 1% (1/100)
  8. [TIE] Brooklyn Pizza — 1% (1/100)

This year’s Favorite Pizza poll received an even 100 votes overall (making it pretty easy to calculate the percentage of votes).

Plum Tomato

.Plum Tomato on St. Georges Avenue finally broke through and took the crown for the first time, grabbing 41 percent of the vote. They knocked off the 2023 champion, Il Forno a Legna,, which finished 3rd with 16 percent of the vote, trailing close behind Nancy’s Towne House, which was 2nd with 24 percent.

That’s now three years in a row with a different champ. Michelino’s, which finished 4th this year with 10 percent, was the 2022 champion. The newest entrant in the pizza poll, R&J Pizzeria, finished 5th with 4 percent of the vote.

So now that National Pizza Month is nearly upon us, you’ve got the whole month of October to try out all the options. Remember to be on the lookout for a new poll sometime in the next week. Thanks to everyone for voting and feel free to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments.
