That’s right, the May reader poll, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com, the Rahway Special Improvement District (SID) asks:

Last year’s winner, Grand Delicias, won by nearly a majority of votes, garnering 50 percent of the almost 200 ballots, ahead of Bianca’s Deli and La Malinche. A new taco champion for 2024 is certain to be crowned this year because, alas, Grand Delicias, has since closed its West Grand Avenue location. So who will it be this year?

The top returning taco options from last year’s poll are Bianca’s Deli, at the corner of Elizabeth Avenue and Irving Street, which garnered 50 votes, or about 27 percent of the total, and La Malinche on Irving Street, near Central Avenue, which nabbed 9 percent with 16 total votes. The field in this month’s poll is largely the same as last year, with one new entrant: Romero’s Tavern 1947 on Main Street.

This month’s reader poll will be open throughout the month of May. Cast your vote and find out at the end of the month when results are posted.
