Alas, it’s the final few weeks of summer. But don’t be sad that it’ll over soon, be glad that it happened — and vote in the latest reader poll.

The monthly reader poll, sponsored by the Rahway Arts and Business Partnership, for August::

There were drive-in movies through July at Hamilton Stage, music at Arts District Park, a weekly summer music series at the Paseo, a pop-up dance series at Train Station Plaza, and in August, the annual mayor’s summer concert series downtown. If there’s an event that’s not listed that you prefer, vote for Other and let me know what that might be, or hit me up on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Polls will remain open for several weeks, to give you enough time to hit up the all the attractions. Results will be posted before the end of the month, ahead of the Labor Day weekend. Until then, you can consider the various events that have taken place this summer, as well as those that have yet to take place — like Riverfest, for instance.

Riverfest, presented by the Rahway River Watershed Association, will take place Aug. 21-28, with events throughout the week and all around town. It might have an advantage in this poll simply because there’s so much going on over the course of an entire week rather than a one-night affair. You may want to hold off on voting until you get to attend one of the Riverfest-related events, or Cherry Street Soiree En Blanc, which also takes place late this month (Aug. 29).

By the way, Riverfest is looking for volunteers, just  in case you’re interested.
