The favorite pizza poll dates back to the early days of the blog, all the way back to 2008, as one of the first reader polls. So, appropriately enough for National Pizza Month, the monthly reader poll for October, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com (Rahway Special Improvement District), asks:

.In last year’s poll, it was Michelino’s that took first place, breaking a string of consecutive wins by either Nancy’s Towne House or Il Forno a Legna dating back to 2014.

There’s so many different choices, and I’m not even talking about pizza places but even styles of pizza at each of these places. There’s something simple about a stopping by for a traditional slice of cheese pizza but then there’s also the grandma pie, thin slice, and if sometimes when I’m in the mood, I love a slice that’s stacked with buffalo chicken and/or broccoli and all sorts of stuff.

And of course, we can debate the merits and virtues of ham and pineapple, which has hilariously become a flash point in pizza conversations worldwide. Let me know your favorites and why in the comments below.
