Whatever it is that we love about pizza so much – the simplicity of cheese and dough, the portability, the carbs, who knows – we can debate the merits of any style or pizzeria specifically. So, with that in mind, let’s start this month’s debate!

The September reader poll, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com, the Rahway Special Improvement District (SID):

What’s your favorite pizza in Rahway?

Last year’s poll winner, Il Forno a Legna, took the crown back from Michelino’s, the 2022 victor. That had been the first time since 2014 that anyone besides Nancy’s Towne House or Il Forno a Legna had won the poll.

The new kid on the block in this year’s poll is R&J Pizzeria at Madison Hill Road and Westfield Avenue. It’s the latest in a long line of pizza places at that corner, following My Lil’ John’s Pizza, Gio’s Pizza, and Buona Pizza. R&J finished a respectable third in the June poll — behind The Coffee Box and Irving Social — which polled readers on their favorite outdoor dining spot.
