There’s nothing better than a warm, hearty soup in the winter. After a snowy winter, with spring only a few weeks away (really), soup season (at least the hot variety) is coming to an end. What better time for a new reader poll?

The previous reader poll in February garnered 115 votes from readers who chose their favorite pizza in Rahway. Now it’s time for the March reader poll.
This month, the poll will ask some of you to vote on your recent experience — at least for those who participated in the Rahway Soup Stroll back in January.
The March reader poll, sponsored by the Rahway Arts and Business Partnership (RABP), is: What’s your favorite soup in Rahway?
As part of the RABP’s #WinningWinter campaign, the Rahway Soup Stroll took place on four Saturdays in January, with participating restaurants offering a free sample of a featured soup. The poll includes the 20 restaurants that participated in the Soup Stroll and a few more that offer soup on their menus. And of course, there’s always the “Other” option for any I may have missed (hope not).
The soup poll is chock full of choices, ranging from full-fledged sit-down restaurants to sandwich shops. And the variety of places: There’s staples like Mexican and Italian but also Latin, Turkish, Peruvian, Colombian and Polish. Just check out the varieties of offered during the Soup Stroll — I hadn’t even heard of some of those before! The only catch is that you can can only vote for one.
The poll opens today and will run for several weeks, closing at 9 p.m. on March 30. Results will be posted before the end of March, in time for a new poll for April.
