Striker Realty will celebrate the grand opening of its new location at 1516 Irving St. with a ribbon cutting and reception on Sept. 8.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Samson Steinman is scheduled for 1 p.m., with a catered reception at 4 p.m. Food and wine will be accompanied by live piano courtesy of Striker’s neighbor, The Academy of Music, along with Karichter.
Gregory Fulop, office manager/Broker of Striker’s Rahway branch, extends an invitation to fellow merchants for the grand opening celebration on Thursday. “We are excited to be back in downtown Rahway and hope to establish ourselves as the primary real estate firm you all reference to your clients,” he said.
The Rahway branch is among five Striker Realty offices in the region, including Livingston, Holmdel, Linden, and Millburn. Striker Realty-Rahway is a full service realty servicing buyers, sellers, landlords, developers, and investors. The firm also works with banks on foreclosed properties (REOs) as well as short sales and commercial deals.
Striker is actively hiring experienced agents well versed in Union, Essex, Middlesex and Somerset counties, who would like to work for a team without fees where they keep most of their commission.
Fulop acquired the two-story building at the corner of Irving Street and Elm Avenue in the spring. Striker Realty-Rahway started to move into the first-floor commercial space last month, with plans to renovate two existing apartments on the second floor, which includes a New Orleans-style balcony.
Academy of Music has been a tenant in the building for 27 years and will remain in a portion of the roughly 1,500-square-foot, ground-floor space, Fulop said. The building previously was a real estate office in the 1980s, he added.
Striker’s Rahway office previously had been at 1582 Elizabeth Ave. until July 2014, before moving to the former Rahway Glass Shoppe space at 692 W. Grand Ave.
